Note From Mayor Wilson

Fellow Residents,

I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the efforts of a few people in our neighborhood who stepped up to replace the damaged American flags. As you all know, we display flags annually on the telephone poles that are on village streets. The amount of flags that needed to be replaced was a cost that was not planned for during the budget process. Jean Young, Sue Fairbairn and Cindy Sharp took the initiative to get those flags replaced at no cost to the taxpayer.

Thanks to the donations received from the Cayuga Fire Department Ladies Division, Home Depot and several village residents, those flags have been replaced! Not only have they been replaced, but we will have a surplus for a few years to come.

Thank you, Jean, for getting the ball rolling! This effort just goes to show how great the people of this village are!

Thank you to everyone who donated, and especially thank you to the ladies who made this happen,

Don Wilson Jr.
